Narendra
Modi was sworn in as 15th Prime Minister of the country. 45-member Union
Council of Ministers including 23 with Cabinet rank, 10 Ministers of State with
Independent Charge and 11 Ministers of State also took oath along with Mr.
Modi. President Pranab Mukherjee administered the oath of office and secrecy to
Modi and his cabinet colleagues at a function in the forecourt of Rashtrapati
Bhawan on Monday 26th May 2014

President Rajnath Singh, party leaders Arun Jaitley, Nitin Gadkari, Venkaiah
Naidu, Sushma Swaraj, Ravishankar Prasad, Sadanand Gowda, Uma Bharati, Najma
Heptullah, Gopinath Munde, Kalraj Mishra,
Maneka Gandhi, Ananth Kumar, Smriti Irani, Dr.Harsh Vardhan, Jual Oram,
Narendra Singh Tomar, Radha Mohan Singh and Thavarchand Gehlot sworn in as cabinet rank. Besides LJP leader Ramvilas
Paswan, Shiv Sena leader Anant Geete, Akali Dal's Harsimrat Kaur Badal and
Ashok Gajpati Raju of TDP were also inducted as cabinet minister.

Inderjit Singh, General (Retd.) V K Singh, Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Sripad Naik,
Dharmendra Pradhan, Sarvanand Sonwal, Prakash Javadekar, Piyush Goel, Dr.
Jitendra Singh and Nirmala Sitharaman took oath as Ministers of State with Independent
Charge.
The Ministers of State who took oath are G M Sidheswara, Manoj Sinha, Upendra Kushwaha, P Radhakrishan, Kiren Rijiju, Krishna Pal , Sanjeev Kumar Baliyan, Mansukhbhai Vasava, Rao Saab Danve, Vishnu Deo Sai, Sudarshan Bhagat and Nihal Chand.
Top leaders from SAARC countries including Paksistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Nepal Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, Afghan President Hamid Karzai, Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Maldivian President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, Bhutan Prime Minister TsheringTobgay, Bangladesh Parliament Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury and Mauritius Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam attended the ceremony.
Outgoing Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, leaders of various other political parties and Chief Ministers of several states were also present on the occasion.
