Santhosh Echikkanam  contemporary short story writer of malayalam/സന്തോഷ് ഏച്ചിക്കാനം/Naranayum Paravayayum 
Santhosh Echikkanam is a South Indian, contemporary short story writer from Kerala. He is one of the newcomers in Malayalam literature. He was born in Kasargode district in Kerala. Santhosh was into politics during his college days. He never came first in the college story-writing competitions. But he stuck on to his passion and later turned to be a good writer mostly in short stories. His stories are down to earth and speak about the common people. Santhosh received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for his short story Komala (2008).
